Welsh Open champions set for home fixture

18/07/2023

The all-conquering Dragons Wheelchair team – backed by principal partner the HH Law - will be aiming for more success this weekend after recently securing the Welsh Wheelchair Rugby Open title.

The squad – who swept all before them at the WR5s tournament Wheelchair Rugby 5s earlier on this season – made it another weekend of success in Swansea at the Welsh Open.

Four teams – Dragons RFC, Ospreys, Taunton Gladiators, and the Tiger Seals - battled it out in the tournament, that formed part of the week-long, multi-sports and multi-venue Para Sports Festival 2023 based at the LC Swansea.

And it Dragons who ensured the cup stayed in Wales - following RGC’s success in last year’s inaugural edition – as they went undefeated in the group stages before beating Tiger Seals 20-16 in the final.
