Head Coach Dai Flanagan believes there is ‘good news coming’ on the return of Wales tighthead Leon Brown – and has praised the club for making the right decisions on the front rows playing return.
The 26-year-old from Newport has been out of action since a shoulder nerve issue ended his 2021/22 campaign last April.
Brown toured South Africa as part of his rehabilitation and the prop is now undergoing strength testing as a return nears for the popular front row.
“We have made the right decisions with everything we have done with Leon,” said Flanagan.
“We have taken dates (over a return) away from him and his strength has massively increased.
“That excites us because we can get down to the stuff he couldn’t do previously.
“There is definitely good news coming on Leon. He is stronger and doing more.
“It's been really difficult for him and it has asked a lot of Chris Coleman in this block of games, but he has been superb,” he added.
