The renewal sees the Dragons continue to sport the Worthington’s brand on their playing kit as well as welcoming guests from Molson Coors to every home match, whilst two new bars have opened at Rodney Parade prior to the start of this season with Rodney’s and the Rodney Road Fanzone proving popular with supporters.
This new deal means supporters can continue to buy the brand’s beers and cider, including Coors Light, Carling, Worthington’s and Stowford Press on matchdays and at any other events that Rodney Parade hosts.
The Dragons will also continue to back “Worthy Wednesdays” events across the region and in return Worthington’s support the Dragons official supporter’s club player of the month awards and Dragons match days across their portfolio of clubs.
“Worthington’s have been a part of the Rodney Parade match day experience for more than ten years, so we are delighted to be continuing our relationship with them,” said Dragons Head of Commercial, Jon Westwood.
“As home to Dragons, Newport County AFC and Newport RFC and also recently hosting the sell-out Wales versus England Women’s international at the end of August, we want to provide supporters with a great match day experience.
"Collaborating with a drinks brand who also strive for that same level of excellence allows us to ensure we deliver top quality products to our supporters from the ground bars and in hospitality areas.”
Martin Anderson, Regional Director of Molson Coors Brewing (UK), shared his pleasure in extending the long-standing partnership.
“I’m delighted to continue our association with the Dragons. Rugby in Gwent has a proud history and I’m in no doubt there is an exciting future ahead for the Dragons,” he added.
“We look forward to working together and to continuing to deliver great events and products for consumers to enjoy when visiting Rodney Parade.”
