Centre Morgan Returns To Training

Wales international Tyler Morgan has returned to training ahead of the Guinness PRO14 derby with Ospreys at Rodney Parade on Sunday afternoon (kick-off 3pm).

27/12/2018

Morgan missed the opening festive derby with Cardiff Blues after suffering a concussion in the European defeat to ASM Clermont Auvergne.

However, the centre is now back training ahead of the final league game of 2018.

Back row Ross Moriarty remains a doubt after also missing the Cardiff Blues fixture.

"Ross is still struggling a little bit. He has been in today but we will have to wait and see. You cannot rush any head knock so he is probably doubtful.

"Tyler is back in full training and he is in the mix. We will see how people train before we finalise selection.

"We have a few decisions to make in the front row, but the rest of the squad looks good.

"It was a really good performance from the team in Cardiff. We’ve just got to try and repeat that. I have spoken to the players to make sure it is not a one-off," he added.

"If you look at the level of performance, even before the red card we showed signs that we were right in the game and we were putting Cardiff Blues under huge amounts of pressure.

"When you get a card like that you have to dig deep for each other and I thought we showed a huge amount of character with the level of performance we put out there. That is pleasing for them and us as coaches."
