European Challenge Cup Quarter Final Date Revealed

The date of the biggest Welsh regional derby ever has been set!

Newport Gwent Dragons face Cardiff Blues in the ‘all-Welsh’ European Challenge Cup quarter final at Rodney Parade on Saturday 4th April, KO 12:45.

The Dragons qualified by topping pool 3 while the Blues tied for the top of pool 1 with London Irish.

This is an all pay game, which means it is not included in any seasonal packages and everyone will be required to purchase a ticket. Season ticket holders (STH) will receive guaranteed priority booking at a discounted rate if they purchase before the 22nd of February. STH will also be able to purchase one additional ticket at the discounted rate plus additional tickets at the normal price.

Tickets will be available for non-season ticket holders from Monday 16 February.

Prices*
Hazell Terrace & North Terrace £20
Bronze £25
Silver £30
Gold £35
Under 16 in all areas £10

*Season Ticket Holders will receive a £2 discount on their ticket plus on one additional ticket.

Commercial Director Pete Grzonka commented: “This is a massively exciting fixture and demand for tickets is expected to be immense. I hope the ticket prices are reasonable and represent only a marginal increase on our usual match day prices.

“We have offered season ticket holders, who have followed the region through thick and thin, an exclusive purchasing period which will guarantee they can attend at a discounted rate.

“In deciding to keep the game at Rodney Parade we are hoping to make the most of our home advantage. We’ve structured our ticket sales to reward our most loyal supporters and allow as many Dragons supporters as possible to attend.

“Whilst Blues fans are able to purchase a limited allocation from their ticket office, we hope that the way we have managed ticket release will mean that the majority of the stadium will be filled with Dragons fans.”
