Six changes made to the Dragons team

Last weekend Newport Gwent Dragons took on Bucharest in Romania and successfully took away a well-deserved bonus point win in the European Challenge Cup.

Director of Rugby Lyn Jones has made six changes to the team that played last weekend in the first game of their European double header. Bucharest Wolves travel to Wales to take on the Dragons at Rodney Parade tomorrow evening, KO 19:30.

Welsh International Tom Prydie has moved from the wing to take on the position of fullback as Geraint Rhys Jones moves to the bench. Prydie is joined in the back three by wings Matthew Pewtner and Hallam Amos. The centre pairing, once again, remains the same as Ross Wardle and Ashley Smith retain their places. Flyhalf Jason Tovey also keeps his place in the halfbacks but is joined by scrumhalf Jonathan Evans.

Prop Phil Price gets the nod from Jones as Brok Harris moves across to tighthead, they are joined in the front row by hooker T. Rhys Thomas.

Phil Price commented: “Bucharest are very big up front and that is their game plan, all they want to do is utilise their forwards by using driving mauls and scrums to their advantage.

“Its great having Kingsley (Jones) here as he has a big insight to their game as he has been around the same environment whilst in Russia. So he has been able to help with the tactics for last weekends game and tomorrows game.

“They are big threats but we will try and take them on in their own game and hopefully the backs then will finish off the job.”

The second row of Andrew Coombs and Cory Hill remains the same along with the back row of James Thomas, Nic Cudd and skipper Lewis Evans.

The replacements bench has also had a reshuffle as Taulupe Faleatu returns to the match day squad after his time in the international setup; he is joined by Rynard Landman who returns to the squad from injury. Owen Evans, Dan Way, Luc Jones and Geraint Rhys Jones also join Elliot Dee and Dorain Jones on the bench.
