Dragons v Mogliano Match Report

Newport Gwent Dragons started their Amlin Challenge Cup league in excellent fashion with a seven tries to one win over Mogliano.

Katie Vizard | 12/10/2013

International Kris Burton began the Dragons lead with a penalty to the home side.

Young gun Ross Wardle crossed the whitewash and Burton backed it up with the try conversion, then the points just kept coming from the home side.

Francisco Chaparro stormed across the try line with Kris Burton making it a successful conversion, scrum half Jonathan Evans does the same with Burton making it three out of three conversions.

Mogliano got their chance to add some points to the score board with a penalty kick , pushing the scores to 24-3. But just as Mogliano thought they may have a chance of catching the region, Will Harries crosses the try line and it’s a fourth converted try.

Will Harries crossed for his second try of the night, in the second half along with Ieuan Jones and Adam Hughes.

Kris Burton kicked six conversions and a penalty while the visitors points came from Tommaso Boni's try and Nicolo' Fadalti's penalty.
