Newport Gwent Dragons hooker Sam Parry into their training squad for the tour of Japan.
21 year old Sam joined the Dragons from the region’s Academy side and has represented Wales at Under 20’s level. After a strong start in 2011-12, he cemented his place in the regional side, making 24 appearances this season for the Men of Gwent.
“This is great recognition for the hard work Sam has put in this season,” said Dragons Director of Rugby Robert Beale. “He is another example of the young talent we have at Rodney Parade and the experience he will gain in the national team environment is something he will no doubt bring back with him for his next season at the Dragons.”
