Friends of Newport Rugby Trust (FoNR) will be hosting the inaugural Newport RFC Hall of Fame dinner to be held on Thursday 22nd March 2012 in the Bisley Suite at Rodney Parade.
FoNR will initially induct twelve people, whose contribution to Newport RFC has been unquestionable, into the FoNR – Newport RFC Hall of Fame. Further heroes will be inducted on an annual basis. The FoNR committee have found it be an almost impossible task to pick the first set of inductees, especially trying to compare those club stalwarts and great players that graced the Rodney Parade pitch from different eras in their 138 year history.
Tickets can be purchased from the Rodney Parade Ticket office (01633 670690) at a cost of only £25.00 each or from the FoNR table in the clubhouse before and after Newport RFC matches. It is envisaged that the evening would commence, in the Bisley Suite at Rodney Parade, at 18:30 with the three-course meal starting at 19:00. There will be speeches by various Newport RFC idols throughout and an auction to finish the event
