The Newport Gwent Dragons have worked in partnership with Glamorgan Business School for the past four years. Over this time Mike Sage, Community Manager and Phil James, Education Officer have been impressed by the professionalism of staff and students.

Phil said:
"It really is a mutually beneficial relationship, the students conduct research or a undertake some kind of investigation for us and we provide the students with experience of working on a 'live project', their work has a direct impact on our organisation. Over the past few years students provided us with marketing intelligence on who comes to our games, given us feedback about our updated toilet facilities and helped develop our junior club. In return we provide them with the opportunity to meet our senior members of staff, including the players as well as the chance to explore different business functions, all of which will help improve their career prospects."

A beaming Mike Sage added:
"I am always impressed with Glamorgan Business School students, they are always eager to learn and committed to helping the organisation."

Module Leader and HND Year 2 Tutor, Rob Hamilton adds:
"The students have been presenting proposals for the development of their projects to the Dragons staff; this year we have one group of students looking at improving and utilising the supporters' village, and another three groups are working on a business development plan on how Newport Gwent Dragons can engage SMEs, whilst the final group are working on developing a marketing strategy. The students will undoubtedly gain key skills from the live projects this year."
