School children from the region had the opportunity to train with All Black scrum half Danny Lee and fellow New Zealander Ben Castle this week as the players joined the first of the Dragons’ summer camps.
The young players had coaching tips from the Kiwi pair as well as an opportunity to fire their own questions and have their photos taken with Rodney Parade’s new stars.
The three-day camp was a great success, despite the inclement weather and the children all left happy, if a little muddy with their Dragons goodies.
There are further camps starting on 3 August, 10 August and 17 August with one day camps at Bedwas High School on Wednesday 26 August and a joint one-day camp with the Celtic Crusaders on Thursday 20 August.
