FANS URGED TO COLLECT TICKETS EARLY TO SUPPORT THOMAS AND CHARTERIS

With ticket sales having smashed through the 50,000 barrier, supporters heading for the Wales v Canada Invesco Perpetual Series match at the Millennium Stadium (Friday 14 November, 7.30pm) are being urged to collect their tickets early to avoid delays.

After Wales ran the world champions close last weekend, ticket sales have surged to over 2,500 per day this week, and stadium officials are expecting a late rush in the coming 24 hours.

A number of £10 and £15 tickets still remain and will be on sale until the scheduled kick-off time of 19.30, from the Cardiff Blues ticket booth at the Cardiff Arms Park car park entrance opposite the Angel Hotel or from the Ticketline office in Westgate Street.

Pre-ordered tickets from the Welsh Rugby Union can be collected from the ticket booth on the ramp at gate 3 of the Millennium Stadium in Westgate Street.

The Millennium Stadium Manager, Gerry Toms, urged fans to get to Cardiff to pick up tickets as early as possible.

He said: "Interest is building strongly for this game and we are expecting lots of people to make a late decision to attend. We will be able to cater for everyone who turns up looking to get to the match but we want everyone to have a relaxed and pleasant experience when they arrive.

"People should remember that from about 4pm the Cardiff rush hour will be underway and the city centre will also be busy through the day with Christmas shoppers.

"Fans heading for the rugby will have to be aware of these factors to make their plans accordingly."
