Last Chance to Buy Fiji Tickets

70,000 tickets for Wales' second game in the Invesco Perpetual Series against Fiji at the Millennium Stadium on Friday night have been sold.

The Welsh Rugby Union have agreed to a late night opening session tonight (Thursday) at their ticket outlet in St Mary Street, Cardiff to give fans the chance to snap up the final few thousand seats.
The game is already guaranteed to break the attendance record for a game between Wales and Fiji, which stood at 50,000 from their first meeting in 1964 at Cardiff Arms Park, and stadium bosses expect the game to be a sell-out well in advance of Friday night's 7.30pm kick-off time.
"We had massive walk-up crowds for our two Friday night games against Romania and Japan last year and we are very keen to avoid a repeat of that this week. More than 16,000 people bought tickets for the game against Japan on the night, but there simply won't be that many tickets left for anyone to buy," explained Millennium Stadium chief executive Paul Sergeant. "My strong advice to anyone who wants to come to the game on Friday is to take full advantage of our late night opening hours and get a ticket in your hand as soon as possible. I doubt there will be any tickets left by Friday and, as we've already revealed, the final two fixtures against South Africa and Australia are already 74,000 sell-outs."
Tickets for the game against Fiji, who are one of Wales' confirmed 2007 Rugby World Cup opponents, are priced at £10 for adults and £5 for concessions and are available from the Millennium Stadium Ticket Office at 101, St Mary Street, Cardiff. The ticket shop will remain open until 9.00pm on Thursday. There is still limited space available in the WRU's Official Hospitality areas for the games against Fiji, South Africa and Australia.
