The new Dragons Wheelchair Rugby Team, based at Cwmbran Stadium, has been brought about with the help of Greg Woods, WRU Enterprise Manager, Darren Carew, National Disability Lead Officer, and the Dragons WRU rugby Development dept. led by Adrian Evans.
Since Darren’s introduction into the rugby development team a lot of work has been going on behind the scenes in the Gwent region to offer rugby to all irrespective of any physical or learning needs.
Wheelchair rugby is fast paced, high octane, highly addictive and the only full contact Paralympic sport, it is open to men and women with a physical impairment and paraplegics.
Train, play, make new friends and keep fit in this great team environment. Be a part of the Dragons Wheelchair Rugby team and bring your fire.
We are on the lookout for sponsors to come on board and help us secure chairs and other vital kit for the team!
