Dragons Tour Squad to South Africa

Dragons RFC depart Wales this week with a 32-man squad ahead of the BKT United Rugby Championship fixtures against Emirates Lions and DHL Stormers in South Africa.

The Men of Gwent face the Lions at Emirates Airline Park in Johannesburg on Sunday, November 27 (kick-off 2pm UK) and the Stormers at Nelson Mandela Bay in Port Elizabeth on Saturday, December 3 (kick-off 12noon UK).

We will then travel back to Johannesburg to take on the Lions once more in the EPCR Challenge Cup on Saturday, December 10 (kick-off 10.45am UK).

Head Coach Dai Flanagan has taken an initial tour party of 32 players, that includes the returning Leon Brown and Ashton Hewitt, following their spell on the sidelines due to injury.

There are also places for youngsters Brodie Coghlan and Che Hope, who could both make their senior debut for the club in South Africa.

Ollie Griffiths (calf) and Rob Evans (knock) will not travel with the intial touring party and will miss the first fixture with Emirates Lions.

Wales internationals Bradley Roberts, Rhodri Jones, Ben Carter and Rio Dyer are expected to link up with the squad at different stages during the tour.
